Terms & Conditions
By booking a tour with Locale.Tours, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Booking & Payment
A deposit of USD 500 is required to confirm your small group tour booking. For private tours: an individual payment plan will be arranged.
The remaining balance for small group tours must be paid no later than 90 days before the tour start date.
For small group tours, a minimum number of travellers is required as per itinerary. You will be advised once the number of travellers is met for the tour to happen no later than 90 days before the tour. If the number of travellers is not met, the deposit will be returned or transferred to another small group tour as per individual traveller and Locale.Tours.
Prices are in the advertised currency and are only guaranteed once full payment has been received.
Locale.Tours reserves the right to adjust prices before final payment is made.
Payments must be made using the methods specified by Locale.Tours. Transaction fees, if applicable, are the client’s responsibility.
2. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients and must be arranged by you at your own expense.
Insurance must cover, at a minimum: medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellation, theft, terrorism (if travelling to certain destinations), and personal liability.
Any claims must be made directly to your insurer. Locale.Tours will not be held liable for any costs not covered by your insurance.
3. Cancellations & Refunds (by the client)
Cancellations must be made in writing.
Cancellation fees apply as follows:
More than 30 days before departure: 50% of the total payment will be refunded, not including fees (fees to be paid by the client).
Less than 30 days before departure: 15% of the total payment will be refunded, not including fees (fees to be paid by the client).
15 days or less before departure: Non-refundable.
No-shows or unused services: Non-refundable.
Refunds will be processed in the original payment currency, minus bank and administrative charges.
4. Cancellations by Locale.Tours
Locale.Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour for reasons beyond its control, including but not limited to: force majeure, political unrest, insufficient bookings, or safety concerns.
In such cases, you may choose between:
A full refund of amounts paid, or
Transfer to another Locale.Tours departure.
Locale.Tours is not responsible for additional expenses incurred (e.g., flights, visas, accommodation, insurance) due to tour cancellation.
5. Visas, Passports & Health Requirements
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have valid passports, visas, permits, vaccinations, and other entry requirements.
Refunds cannot be provided if you are unable to travel due to failure to obtain the necessary documents.
Regulations can change without notice; please verify requirements with the relevant embassy.
6. Force Majeure
Locale.Tours is not liable for loss, damage, or delays caused by events beyond its control, including war, terrorism, civil unrest, natural disasters, strikes, epidemics, government actions, or transport breakdowns.
7. Liability & Responsibility
Locale.Tours acts solely as an agent for independent suppliers, including hotels, transport companies, and local guides.
Locale.Tours is not responsible for injury, illness, death, loss, damage, delay, or irregularity caused by any act or omission of suppliers or other third parties.
Locale.Tours accepts no liability for any accidents, injuries, illnesses, or other incidents that occur during a tour.
By booking, you agree that no legal claims can be made against Locale.Tours in relation to your participation in the tour.
8. Acceptance of Risk
You acknowledge that travel involves potential risks, including political instability, different standards of safety and hygiene, limited medical facilities, and other hazards.
You participate voluntarily and accept these risks as part of the travel experience.
9. Conduct
Clients must follow all local laws and respect the instructions of guides at all times.
Locale.Tours reserves the right to remove any participant from a tour without refund if their behavior is deemed dangerous, illegal, or disruptive.
Any additional costs incurred due to removal will be borne by the client.
10. Itinerary Changes
Itineraries are subject to change due to local conditions, safety concerns, transport delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
No refunds or credits will be issued for changes, missed activities, or unused services.
By making any payment to Locale.Tours, the client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
